Notes for Maria A. (Mary) Ferroli
Her age appears to be 6 months when, on 29 April 1899, she arrived in the US on the St. Louis from Cherbourg with her mother Santa, age 27, to join father Giovanni Battista Ferroli at 297 Norfolk Ave., Dorchester, Massachusetts. On the same ship and also going to 297 (later renumbered as 321) Norfolk Avenue were Lorenzo Varnerin, age 44, and Maria, age 29, and her son Guido, less than a year old, who are called Varnerin but are probably Bidoli-Rugo.
At age 12 she again entered the US on 14 May 1911 with her mother and brother, Emilio, age 8, traveling on La Touraine from Le Havre to join father at 173 Magnolia St., Dorchester. They indicated that they left mother/grandmother, Anna Bidoli, behind in Tramonti.
1920 Census: Paul, age 28, and Mary, age 21, living on Halfmoon Street near Uphams Corner, Dorchester, with son John, less than one year old. Both parents naturalized in 1912. Also at 9 Halfmoon Street in Paul’s World War II draft registration form.
1930 Census (Cifrona) at 9 Halfmoon Street with one servant.
May 1934, Paul and Mary returned from Genoa.
1937 Scituate directory shows them with a house in the Egypt section on Boardman Avenue.
1940 Census at 9 Halfmoon Street.
November 1951 - a resident of 9 Half Moon Street, she flew from Paris to Boston with Marcella Ferroli.
