1910 - Riccardo Martini, age 34, a citizen (probably a mistake as he was admitted to citizenship in 1920) on 9 April 1910 when he passed through Ellis Island. Going to 322 Norfolk Avenue. He was previously in the USA from 1906 to 1910. Wife’s name was Angela and she was still in Tramonti.
26 April 1910 census shows him living with Sante and Angelo Varnerin at 320 Norfolk Avenue, age may be 35, says he is unmarried (? - perhaps the result of his wife being still in Italy?).
September 1918 WW I draft registration has him at 337 Norfolk Ave. with wife Angela. Working as a blacksmith’s helper at Bethlehem Shipbuilding.
29 March 1920 admitted to citizenship, living at 337 Norfolk Avenue, wife is Rugo.
1920 - Pietro Rugo @ Ellis Island - first trip to US Sep. 8, 1920, age 25, married, from Tramonti di Sotto, sailed from Trieste to join his uncle Riccardo Martini at 337 Norfolk Ave. Dorchester.
1920 Census he is living at 337 Norfolk Ave. with his wife Angelina, age 39, and 5 children, Santa age 19, Victor age 16, Richard age 15, Joseph age 13, who were born in Italy and Angelo, age 5 who was born in the Mass. Says that Richard was naturalized in 1906. He is a stone mason and the three oldest children are working in shoe manufacturing.
1930 Census - Richard J. and Angelina, ages 54 and 49, and 3 children, Richard R. age 26, Joseph B. age 23 and Angelo M. age 15, own a three-family house at 124 Armandine Street, Dorchester.
1930 directory shows Richard J. as a stonemason and Richard J., Jr. as a pattern maker and Joseph P. as a clerk all living at 124 Armandine Street.
1939 directory has them at 124 Armandine Street. Also 1940 census
