Notes for Cesarina Rosa Delfina Opizzi
Birth record for Mary Teresa, 1910, says that both parents are from Piacenza, Italy.

Arrival at Ellis Island on 17 May 1898, having sailed from Genoa. Details are hard to decipher. First name of the married male age 30 is hard to read, but sounds right for Sisto. Married female is Cesarina, but age looks like 27 and was interpreted as 29 by Ellis Island indexers - who did a generally bad job with this record. They are going to Boston and apparently their first trip to the US. Place of origin is not readable. They must have left for the US immediately after their wedding.

1930 census shows her as a widow, renting an apartment in a three-family house at 339 Bowdoin Avenue, Dorchester with three children, Peter, Mary, and Albert.

In 1933 she is listed along with Peter at 333 Columbia Road, Dorchester. Albert is shown with hem in 1934.

In 1936 they are at 43 Stanley Street, Dorchester. Peter is an artist and Albert works for the Boston Public Library. In 1937, Peter is not listed. In 1939, no children are listed.

“She married an old friend Lodovico Rossi in Boston in 1940. Lodovico was a widower and he searched out Cesarina because they had known each other over forty year before back in Italy.”
