At the time of his marriage his occupation is shown as a switch fitter, which had also been his father’s occupation. His residence is shown as 19 Exchange Street Boston. Exchange Street in Dorchester was a continuation to the south of Clayton Street and was later called Mapes Street.

Indexed in 1910 Census as Cassedy - the family is living with a Hoffen family in Boston, one 4 month old child. Living at 363 Adams Street, Dorchester when daughter was born. He is a signal man.

1923 directory says he is a decorator living at 22 Mapes Street, Dorchester.
