Austintown Services will be at 10 AM Saturday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Louis Rugo, 82, of Austintown who passed away late Tuesday afternoon at his home after a seventeen-year battle with cancer. Louis was born May 21,1921 in Sharon PA the son of Dominic and Lucia Rugo, and came to the area in 1948. He was a Pharmacist and the owner of Wickliffe Pharmacy for 20 years from 1949 until 1969. Louis was a 1943 graduate of the Ohio State School of Pharmacy, a former member Wickliffe Christian Church, as well as a pioneer member of and founder of the 20 over 9 Amateur Radio Club where his call was W8BOO. He leaves his wife the former Edna Angles whom he married October 21, 1961, a son Michael of California, four daughters Kathryn (Glenn) Becker of Medina OH, Marilou (Alex) Gerena of Columbus OH, Peggy (Kurt) Albright of Louisville KY, Patti Rugo of Austintown, a brother Lester Rugo of Austintown, and a grandson Kurt Becker, a student at Bowling Green State University.  Louis first wife, the former Sally Klinkert whom he married in 1945, passed away in 1959.”
