He was unable to find employment, especially with Fox Theaters (with which he ended up being employed for a number of years) with the name Moruzzi. Enid insisted that he change his name legally prior to their marriage, as she "wasn't about to be married under an assumed name". Fox did not know of his Italian decent until after his death. They thought that he was of Jewish decent.
