1904 Franklin Ct. - Piotti Pl
Franklin Court is located directly across Norfolk Avenue from the Varnerin home at #321. Piotti Place and most of the buildings have disappeared, having been bought by Boston Edison, currently NStar. Between the 1900 census and Annie's birth in 1907, the Rugo family seems to have rented various apartments here before buying the house on Magnolia Street.

1927 trip to Italy
1927 seems to be the correct year. Standing in the center is Giuseppe (Joseph) Rugo and in front of him are his son Guido and his nephew Mario Marmai. On the far left is Giuseppe’s sister Madalena Rugo Marmai, and his daughters Amelia and Anne. To the right are his son Leonard, daughter Edith Rugo Monafo and her husband Winthrop Monafo and Paulo Marmai (a first cousin of Madalena's father-in-law)

36 and 46 Hinckley Rd.
Two homes on Hinckley Road in Milton, Massachusetts built for the Rugo family. Giuseppe acquired this land in 1926, but he was in a nursing home by 1929. His sons lived in the houses. Joseph and Mary Rugo lived in the house on the left and Beatrice and Guido Rugo lived in the house on the right. Homes probably not constructed until ca. 1936.
