Luis C. Roever of Hingham, a retired president of Union Warren Savings Bank, died March 22 in South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was 82.
Mr. Roever was born in New York City. He graduated from Harvard College in 1941 and Harvard Business School in 1942. He served in the Army during World War II.
He was president of Union Warren Savings Bank for five years until his retirement in 1987. He previously was treasurer of Purity Supreme Inc., with which he was affiliated for 30 years. He was also an executive with Milton Savings Bank for several years.
Mr. Roever leaves his wife, Mary (Cifrino); a daughter, Diane Scott of Georgia; a son, Geoffrey, of Needham; and four grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was said Monday in Resurrection Church in Hingham.
