Rugo III. Brother of Michael P. Rugo of Stow, MA, Anne E. Kelly of Canton and Thomas R. Rugo of Centerville. Joseph is also survived by his former wife Barbara Rugo Focht of Grafton and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary of the Hills Church, Milton, Saturday, March 29 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Friday 4-7 PM. Interment Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline.

Joseph F. Rugo IV , , an administrator for the Department of Mental Health of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, died suddenly Wednesday March 26 at UMASS Medical Center, Worcester. He was 50 years old.
Born in Brookline, he was raised in Hingham. He was a graduate of Hingham High School, Fairleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford, NJ and received his masters degree in public administration from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
He worked for five years in Washington, seven in Philadelphia, PA and then concentrated on raising his three children as they traveled during his wife’s service in the military.
A doting father, his desire was to camp in all of the state parks of Massachusetts with his children, teaching them his love of nature, camping and fishing. He was an avid outdoorsman.
Beloved father of Joseph F. Rugo V, Rachel Rugo and Willy Rugo. Cherished son of Mary E. (McGrath) Rugo of Centerville and Naples, FL and the late Joseph F. Rugo III. Brother of Michael P. Rugo of Stow, MA, Anne E. Rugo (Kelly) of Canton and Thomas R. Rugo of Centerville. Dear friend of Debbie A. Walsh of Boylston.

Joseph F. Rugo IV, 50, died suddenly March 26 at UMass Medical Center, Worcester.
Born in Brookline, he was raised in Hingham. He was a graduate of Hingham High School, Fairleigh Dickinson University and received his master’s degree in public administration from George Washington University. His parents and grandparents lived in Milton.
Mr. Rugo was an administrator for the Department of Mental Health for the state.
He is survived by two sons, Joseph F. Rugo V, and Willy Rugo; a daughter, Rachel Rugo; his mother, Mary E. (McGrath) Rugo of Centerville and Florida; two brothers, Michael P. Rugo of Stow and Thomas R. Rugo of Centerville; a sister, Anne E. Kelly of Canton; his friend Debbie A. Walsh of Boylston; his former wife Barbara Rugo Focht of Grafton; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Mary of the Hills Church on March 29. Burial was in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline.
