1870 census - could he be the 12 year old Frank McHugh, born in New Brunswick, living a the Deer Island House of Reformation with a large group of children ages 8 - 17?

1880 Census is the source of information on him. Says age 22, born in Canada, occupation horse clipper, living with parents and apparently wife, Mary F. McHugh, age 17, born in New York, and their child, Mary F., age 9 months, born in Boston.

Daughter’s birth record of 1879 also confirms most of the above information.
