Bill and his super-wife, Jamie, were married 43 years and had two sons, (Dr. William J. Monafo (Boston), and James F. Monafo), and a daughter, Katherine A. Kennon (Knoxville, Ohio). His love of Italy and Italian Opera pervaded their lives, and brought them much happiness through music and travel.
We will miss Bill’s presence at the Maui Symposium. His attendance was appreciated, because he sat through every session from start to finish, and punctuated the presentations with pertinent comments and stimulating questions. Our wives will miss Jamie’s participation and jokes on their morning walks. We hope that she will visit us again and maintain the many years of friendship we cherish.
