Grandson, Eric Borgman, writes “Bruno was the son of Giuseppe and Amelia (Luisa) Ferroli in Friedrichstahl, Prussia where his Italian parents were living. He was named Bruno by the priest who baptised him.
He emigrated to the United States in August 1920 and worked as a tile setter. He married Josephine V. Pezzati on February 19, 1928 in Dorchester, Massachusetts. They had two daughters and moved to Westwood, Massachusetts in 1952.”
25 August 1920 Bruno Ferroli, age 17, arrived at Ellis Island saying that he was going to Negaunce, Michigan to join his father Giuseppe. He left his mother “Aurelia” Ferroli in Frisanco. With him were Giacomo Vallar age 18 and his sister Margherita Vallar age 15 who left their brother Giuseppe in Frisanco.
His grandson Eric writes: “My grandfather lived with Angelo's family in Brockton when he first arrived in 1920.” “The 1920 Bruno Ferroli going to join his father Giuseppe sounds like my grandfather. But from what I know he never went to Michigan and instead went to Brockton where he worked as a shoemaker for a time. He then went to Dorchester where he lived with John Feroli and his family.” (John Feroli born 1878 who married Maria Varnerin)
8 April 1930 - Census has Bruno, age 26 and Josephine, age 24, married for two years, with their daughter, Patricia, age 16 months, renting an apartment at 76 Hamilton Street, Dorchester, Massachusetts.
1932 and 1938 directories show him as a tile setter, living at 76 Hamilton Street, Dorchester.
June 1948 Bruno. age 45, flew from Rome to Boston, a resident of Hamilton Street, Dorchester (although the manifest says “Rochester”).
