Joyce Elise Rock
Passed away at home in Santa Rosa after a brief illness on October 21, 2003 at the age of 59, surrounded by her family. Born to Henry and Albina Dalbec in Worcester, Massachusetts on April 27, 1944. She is survived by her loving husband Ronald K. Rock, Sr.; her children Sherri D. Hugunin of Warsaw, MO, Leonard Paul Rugo of Camarillo, CA and Eric S. Rugo and his wife Cheryll of Redwood Valley, CA; her grandchildren Veronica E. Rainey, Lorna A. Ott, C. J. Hugunin, Julian M. Rugo, Nicolette E. Rugo, Cloey J. Parker and Kaylee R. Parker. Also survived by her brother Ronald Dalbec and his wife Ann of West Dover, VT, sister Anna Marie Shull and her husband Bob of Santa Rosa, younger brother John Dalbec of Kihei, Hawaii and brother-in-law Rev. Monsignor Russell Rock of Runnemede, NJ; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Joyce graduated from Millbury High, MA in the Class of 1962. She moved to Santa Rosa in 1974. Shortly thereafter, she opened her heart and home to do day care for hundreds of families throughout Sonoma County for 17 years. From there, she and her husband raised their granddaughter Veronica. Joyce will always be remembered for her open door, caring attitude, love for children and wonderful sense of humor.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service celebrating Joyce's life on Saturday, November 1, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the DANIELS CHAPEL OF THE ROSES, 1225 Sonoma Ave., Santa Rosa with Rev.
